Earn Credit and Build Your Resume as a Technology Learning Assistant

Students can earn one credit and gain computer consulting experience by becoming a Technology Learning Assistant (TLA). TLAs work one-on-one with faculty, tutoring them on such topics as Penn State's Course Management System, ANGEL; using Excel as a gradebook; and creating Web pages. Qualifying students must have a minimum 2.75 GPA, have created at least one Web site with multiple pages, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and HTML. The extended deadline to apply for a TLA position for spring 2003 is Friday, Dec. 20. Include the name and e-mail address of a faculty or staff reference, and the URL for at least one Web site you have created. Visit the TLA Web site for application forms and more information at
