Mystery Gift Gives Shoes to Six Ballroom Dancers

The Penn State Ballroom Dance Club recently received a gift of $300 from a mysterious anonymous donor. The gift, which arrived at Penn State in an envelope that was postmarked in California with no return address, was attached to a note from the donor, who specified the money was to be used to purchase shoes for the club's competition team. The club officers decided to distribute the funds by awarding six scholarships in the amount of $50.00 each for the purchase of ballroom dance shoes. All Ballroom Dance Club members who had attended the club's competition workouts were entered into a random drawing in which the dancers each received one chance to win for every competition-related event they had attended during the fall 2002 semester. For the full story, visit http://www.clubs.psu.edu/ballroomdance/
