Penn State Police train to handle crisis situations

Every day the news reports stories about crises at schools, from hostage situations to students gunning down other students and teachers. To keep pace with current events, Penn State Police Services was host for a special training session titled "Immediate Deployment / Rapid Intervention of Patrol Officers at a Critical Incident" during the winter break in the Luerssen Building, Berks campus. All Penn State Police officers participated in the program. The program was presented by Ron Mohl, Northern Berks Regional police department, and Randy Hoover, Muhlenberg Township police department. Participants included officers from Northern Berks, Muhlenberg Township, Spring Township, Wyomissing and Wernersville police departments.
