Body Loathing/Body Love features Penn State alumna Jessica Weiner

Penn State alumna and noted author and performer Jessica Weiner will moderate the University Park Ensemble?s presentation of Body Loathing/Body Love at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 at the HUB Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public. Insights into the causes of eating disorders will be provided through dramatic scenes, poetry, mime and imagery. Weiner will also participate in a brown bag lunch at the Center for Women Students at noon on Thursday, April 10 in 120 Boucke. Her topic will be Selfishness to Humanity: How My Eating Disorder Taught Me to Give Back. Body Loathing/Body Love is co-sponsored by the Arts and Architecture Alumni Society, the College of Arts and Architecture, the School of Theatre, and the Penn State Eating Disorders/Body Image Team with funding from the Laura R. Whitaker Fund. Weiner's visit to Penn State is part of the 2003 Alumni Achievement Award of the College of Arts and Architecture.
