Senior Class Gift Committee seeks applicants

Virtually every graduating class at Penn State has left a lasting mark on campus with a senior class gift. The Senior Class Gift Committee now invites students in the Class of 2004 to apply for a chairperson or general committee position. Chairperson applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11, and applications for the general committee will be available in the fall. The committee is a dynamic organization that allows for numerous opportunities for innovation. Pick up an application in 17 Old Main or at the HUB-Robeson Center information desk. Direct questions to Colleen Hyland at cth118@psu.edu or Amber Krieg, senior class gift advisor, at 863-2052 or adk5@psu.edu. Well-known past gifts include the Old Main Bell Tower (1904), the Nittany Lion Shrine (1940), the HUB aquariums (1999), and this year's gift, the HUB-Robeson Center Historical Mural. Many classes have endowed scholarships and the Class of `96 established the Elm Tree Endowment to provide continuous financial support to replant elm trees throughout campus.
