Local students participate in forensics tournament

The campus recently held its third annual Forensics Tournament, drawing 250 middle and high school students from 15 area schools. Students competed in five categories: Prose / Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry, Original Oratory, Dramatic Duo, and Impromptu Speaking. Participating schools were: Beaver Middle and High Schools, Beaver Falls High School, Blackhawk High School, Center Middle and High Schools, Freedom Middle and High Schools, Hopewell Middle School, Quigley Catholic High School, Riverside High School, Southside Middle and High Schools, St. Vitus Middle School and Western Beaver High School. Freedom High School won the team award, having gathered the largest number of total points for individual and duo competitions.
