Penn State Harrisburg students sweep honors in business plan competition

Penn State Harrisburg students swept top honors in "Venture Challenge," a business plan competition presented by the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation and the Central Penn Business Journal. The Venture Challenge involved undergraduate and undergraduate students from colleges and universities in Central Pennsylvania. It was sponsored by the state Department for Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Delta Development Group, Inc., and Schoffstall Ventures. Taking first place in the undergraduate division was Penn State Harrisburg Information Systems student Garrett Nell, and Brian Reese, a student in the concurrent Penn State degree program which leads to a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the College of Medicine and an M.B.A. from the Harrisburg campus, took top honors in the graduate division. Taking second place in the graduate portion of the competition was Lee Landis, an M.B.A. student in the Penn State Harrisburg program delivered to Penn State, The Lancaster Center.
