Ground broken for new workforce development and technology building

Penn State DuBois broke ground last week on a multi-million dollar, state-of-the art facility that will offer the region's residents and employers workforce training services and educational programs in a variety of technology fields. State lawmakers, local dignitaries and representatives from Penn State and the Northcentral Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission gathered to celebrate the official start of the DuBois Educational Foundation Workforce Development and Technology Center. The DEF Workforce Development and Technology Center is truly a facility that represents the community," explained Ross Donahue, president of the DuBois Educational Foundation. "It will not be an isolated educational building. It will meet the needs of educators, employers, and agency personnel who serve the workforce."
