Ticket mini-packs feature weekend games for men's, women's basketball

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State Basketball fans have two new options to choose from in addition to the standard season ticket packages for the 2003-04 Nittany Lion and Lady Lion basketball seasons.

Special "mini-packs," designed for fans who cannot make it to every game, are now available. The packages are ideal for the fan that prefers weekend games as all but one of the games included in the two options are weekend contests. Each game featured in both the packages includes a premium giveaway for the first 2,000 fans. Anyone buying a package will receive preferential seating and will have the same seat for each game of the package that they purchase. However, the full season ticket package (which is still available) still offers the best available seating.

Fans can purchase the Sixth Man Package for new head coach Ed DeChellis' Nittany Lion squad. This set includes six games, five of which are weekend contests at the Bryce Jordan Center:

• Sunday, Nov. 23 vs. Georgetown, 3:00 p.m. (schedule magnets to the first 2,000 fans through the gates);
• Wednesday, Dec. 10 vs. Rutgers, 7:30 p.m. (computer mouse pads featuring the new Jordan Center floor design);
• Saturday, Jan. 10 vs. Ohio State, 12:15 p.m. (Jan Jagla growth chart);
• Saturday, Jan. 24 vs. Michigan, 12:15 p.m. (Ed DeChellis bobblehead doll);
• Saturday, Feb. 21 vs. Illinois, 4:00 p.m. (Rally Towels); and
• Saturday, Feb. 28 vs. Michigan State, 12:15 p.m. (Penn State floppy hats).

The Sixth Man Package costs only $84 dollars for adults and $30 dollars for youth.
