Student becomes part of McKeesport campus history

As the ribbon cutting ceremony members assembled to officially open the new Student Community Center at Penn State McKeesport last month, an unfamiliar person moved into place between Penn State President Graham Spanier and Curtiss E. Porter, campus executive officer. Poised with the oversized, gold-plated scissors in one hand and part of the ceremonial ribbon in the other hand, the young man proceeded to make history on campus by functioning as the "official ribbon cutter" to the newest building at Penn State McKeesport. His name is Charles Bisel, and he's the winner of a student essay contest that asked the question, "What is your vision for the new Student Community Center?"
