Penn State Altoona bookstore expands

Work on Penn State Altoona's newly-expanded and renovated bookstore was completed to accommodate the college's growth in students and academic programs, and a grand opening celebration with door prizes, refreshments and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this past week. With the addition of 1,700 square feet, a number of amenities were added to the bookstore, including a seating area in the reference section, an expanded clothing area and a new lobby with seating. The checkout area was also expanded for greater student convenience during busy times throughout the semester. The bookstore is now designed to accommodate between 4,500 and 5,000 students.
