Eberly College of Science hosts open house on April 3

University Park, Pa. -- Members of the University community, along with prospective students and their parents, are invited to participate in the 15th annual Eberly College of Science Open-House day on Saturday, April 3, with activities beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Registration and a welcome session will be held at the Hetzel Union Building (HUB) Alumni Hall. Presentations and informal discussions with deans, faculty, advisors, staff, and current students will continue throughout the day. Guided tours will include classrooms and research facilities in astronomy and astrophysics, biochemistry and molecular biology, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, microbiology, physics, premedicine, general science, statistics, and the science B.S./M.B.A. program. Tours of residence halls also will be available.

Approximately 3,000 high-school seniors who have been offered admission to the Eberly College of Science at all Penn State campuses for the 2004 summer and fall semesters have been invited to attend. The event, which gives all students who have received an offer of admission to the college a final opportunity to decide on whether they will accept their offer, has played a significant role in boosting admissions in the sciences at Penn State.

To register, use the Web form at or call the Office of the Associate Dean at 814-863-0284.
