Altoona is host for U.S. Congressional debate

Penn State Altoona played host to the only debate between U.S. Congressman Bill Shuster and Republican Congressional candidate Michael DelGrosso in the Community Arts Center on April 19. Moderating the event in one of the more hotly contested primary races this spring was Penn State Altoona CEO and Dean William G. Cale Jr. The debate was standing-room-only, with almost 400 faculty, staff, students and community members attending. The debate was sponsored by the Blair County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Penn State Altoona and WTAJ TV 10.
