Erie breaks Research and Economic Development Center ground

Officials and guests at Penn State Erie broke ground recently for a new academic building that will be home to both the Sam and Irene Black School of Business and the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Construction of the new $30 million Research and Economic Development Center, known as the REDC, will begin this summer. When completed in 2006, the center will strategically support education, research and technology transfer activities designed to strengthen the economy of northwest Pennsylvania.
