Kevin Haley named interim chief financial officer for Hershey Medical Center

Kevin Haley, director of finance for Penn State Hershey Medical Center since March 2000, has been named the medical center's interim chief financial officer effective July 1. David Hefner, medical center executive director and chief operating officer, and Wayne Zolko, associate vice president for finance & business, controller, for Penn State College of Medicine, and campus chief financial officer, made the formal announcement last week.

"Kevin brings to his new role substantial experience and tremendous knowledge about finance and the medical center," said Hefner. "We are pleased to promote him to this key leadership role."

Haley steps in for former CFO Mary Bednar whose retirement from the medical center became official last Thursday. Haley has been an employee with the medical center since March 1984.

"In his 20 years with the organization Kevin has proven to be both an exceptional manager and an astute financial analyst," said Zolko. "He is extremely committed to the success of the medical center and Penn State College of Medicine and respected by his colleagues."
