Hershey Medical Center treats victims of disaster

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center played a critical role in providing medical care to the victims of Wednesday's weather disaster in Campbelltown, Pa.

The medical center treated 24 patients of the disaster, treating and releasing 23 and admitting one in critical condition.

Several members of the medical center and Penn State College of Medicine family have been affected by this disaster, as Campbelltown is only a few miles away from campus. Several homes were damaged.

Leadership is gathering the facts and assessing how best to assist these individuals and their families through this very difficult time.
