Luncheon, auction to benefit United Way

University Park, Pa. -- The Student Affairs United Way Committee at Penn State will hold its annual luncheon/auction from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, in Heritage Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center on the Penn State University Park campus. All proceeds benefit the Centre County United Way. Bidding on silent auction items begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 12:15 p.m. A live auction follows at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m. Luncheon tickets cost $7 and may be purchased by calling Mya Pawlicki at (814) 865-6548. Food will be provided by Java Co. Tickets are limited and must be purchased by 5 p.m. Oct. 20. Some tickets will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. The auction is free, and attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch. Prizes also will be awarded for the best Halloween costumes in three categories: funniest, scariest and most original.
