United Way Campaign crosses $146,000 mark

With one week remaining in the Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center annual United Way campaign, employees have made contributions totaling $146,000. The overall campaign goal is $160,000. Employees still have another week to make contributions. The campaign ends on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Campaign chair Berend Mets is hopeful that employees who have not yet made their pledges will submit their contributions before the Thanksgiving holiday deadline.

"We have extremely generous and compassionate employees," said Mets. "As the holidays approach, I encourage everyone to remember that the United Way supports services that assist many of our own patients as well as our employees, neighbors and friends. We certainly hope for a strong final week of pledges."

Drop boxes are available in mailrooms. Employees who have misplaced their United Way pledge forms but would still like to make a pledge may print a blank one off of the Infonet homepage. It's listed under The Bulletin.
