More than 700 attend Penn State York commencement

More than 700 people gathered to celebrate Penn State York's fourth annual fall commencement Monday, Dec. 20, in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center. The campus awarded associate, baccalaureate and master's degrees during the ceremony.

Timothy E. Debes, a Penn State alumnus and the vice president and civil/geo-environmental department manager for NuTec Design Associates Inc. of York, gave the commencement address. Debes shared the importance of Penn State in his life and encouraged students to "go beyond the fleeting brightness of the stars and see who you really are." He noted that his time at Penn State York changed the fabric of his life and graduates would realize the impact the campus has had on their lives in years to come. Debes closed with these words, "Let your Penn State York experience be your guiding compass and let Penn State be your answer." Read more at http://www.yk.psu.edu/news.php#1058
