Historian to speak on African-American experience

In conjunction with Black History Month activities, Charles L. Blockson will discuss "The African-American Experience at Penn State, Past and Present" from noon to 1:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in 108 Wartik Building, University Park. Blockson is curator of The Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, one of the nation's largest private collections of black history material. It was donated to Temple University by Blockson in 1984. He is co-founder of The African-American Museum in Philadelphia. Blockson is a Penn State graduate and former member of the University Libraries Development Advisory Board. The event is free to the public.
