Heard on Campus: Kurt Landgraf at the Forum

"Money is not all that matters but without money very little else matters. If you really care about changing (kindergarten through 12th grade) education, stop supporting it with local real estate taxes, pay teachers a living wage, make it a viable economic profession. American public education is broken. We can and must do something about it. There is no easy fix, but there are things that are fixable, and fixable in the short term."
-- Kurt M. Landgraf, Penn State graduate and president and CEO of Educational Testing Service, speaking Monday (April 11) on "Educational Reform, the Real Bottom Line," at the Penn State Forum, a speakers series sponsored by the Faculty Staff Club at the University Park campus. Juan Williams, national political correspondent and author, will deliver the Penn State Forum lecture at noon Wednesday, April 27, at The Bryce Jordan Center.
