Police release surveillance photos, seek leads in theft of computer in backpack

Penn State Police are seeking information about an alleged theft that occurred in Willard Building on the University Park campus. On Wednesday, April 20, a female student reported that her backpack, containing a Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop computer, a USB drive and two paperback books, was taken. The value of the backpack and its contents was estimated at more than $1,700. Surveillance video revealed a white male carrying a backpack matching that description.
