Faculty sought to present uses of technology for teaching and learning

Penn State faculty are being sought to present their most innovative, effective uses of technology to enhance teaching and learning at the Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology: A Symposium of Faculty Excellence. Faculty interested in this opportunity to share ground-breaking ideas with their colleagues may submit proposals through Feb. 20 using the form at http://its.psu.edu/training/stltday/ online. The symposium will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 8 in the Thomas Building at University Park. Concurrent presentations will take place throughout the day and lunch will be provided. Keynote speaker will be Henry Jenkins III, DeFlorz professor of humanities and director of MIT comparative media studies. Proposed presentation topics should fall within one of six categories: (1) New Online Ways to Reach Your Students; (2) Tapping New Resources on the Web; (3) New Educational Technologies that Enhance the Classroom Experience; (4) Your Instruction Anytime, Anywhere; (5) Accessibility and Standards; and (6) Innovative Best Practices Using Education Technology.
