Federal highway official to discuss roadside safety

Kenneth S. Opiela of the Federal Highway Administration's Office of Safety Research and Development at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center will present "Evolution of Processes and Strategies for Improving Roadside Safety" at 3 p.m. April 20 at the Pennsylvania Transportation Institute, 213 Transportation Research Building, University Park. The presentation will discuss recent initiatives of the Transportation Research Board/National Cooperative Highway Research Program, Federal Highway Administration, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, National Crash Analysis Center and others.
