David S. Berlin, lead maintenance mechanic, was presented with the 2006 Outstanding Staff Award during the 20th annual Honors Convocation at Penn State Lehigh Valley. This award is presented annually to a staff member who shows exemplary performance at their job and carries out the duties of the job enthusiastically and with integrity and dedication.
Berlin joined the staff of Penn State Lehigh Valley in 1988. His responsibilities include managing the maintenance and operation of the two campus locations (Fogelsville and Bethlehem), as well as the maintenance staff.
"His relentless attention to detail keeps this campus operating efficiently and effectively," stated Ann M. Williams, chancellor of Penn State Lehigh Valley. "He has the uncanny ability to anticipate the needs of the campus, faculty and staff before they arise -- and appropriately handles each challenge."
