'A Year with Frog and Toad' is family production

The Penn State School of Theatre will present the family show, "A Year with Frog and Toad," at 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Playhouse Theatre, University Park. "A Year with Frog and Toad" is a musical for children, but its universal theme -- the value and importance of friendship -- also appeals to adults. In many ways frog is the teacher encouraging his sometimes less-than-willing pupil to be understanding. The two amphibians are aided and abetted by birds, a snail, a newt, a lizard, a turtle, two moles and a mouse. Tickets are $10 adult with one free child and $5 per additional child age 15 and under, with a limit of four. Tickets are available at the Penn State Downtown Ticket Center, Eisenhower Box Office, Bryce Jordan Center, by calling (814) 863-0255 or (800) ARTS-TIX.
