'Teaching Writing' course available

The Lehigh Valley Writing Project at Penn State Lehigh Valley is offering a three-credit graduate course, EDUC 452: "Teaching Writing," to be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 27, Feb. 24, March 24 and April 21, at the Bangor Area High School, 187 Five Points Richmond Road, Bangor. "Teaching Writing" is designed to invite teachers to experience the stages of the writing process, develop tools and strategies to teach writing, explore writing across the curriculum, and learn effective and efficient strategies for assessing all types and modes of writing. Call the Office of the Registrar at (610) 285-5060 to request a Penn State graduate nondegree application. Registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 22.
