University Park, Pa. -- With Penn State alumni living throughout the United States and around the world, Penn State's Alumni Career Services is going online beginning in April to reach Penn State graduates with two career-related Webinars.
The two interactive Webinars are Alumni CareerShape, an eight-session online course for alumni interested in defining career directions and setting achievable professional goals, and Alumni JOBSearch, a four-session course designed to assist alumni in developing the job search skills they need to obtain a new position.
Alumni CareerShape is a lunchtime Webinar, running noon to 1 p.m. Monday, which allows alumni to grab a quick bite at their desk while interacting with a career counselor, taking self-assessment inventories and doing other coursework. The next Alumni CareerShape Webinar will begin Monday, April 16, and run through June 11.
The second Webinar is Alumni JOBSearch, a four-session online course designed to assist alumni in developing the job search skills they need to obtain a new position. This Webinar will cover resume writing, interviewing skills, job search strategies and networking. Alumni JOBSearch will run 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays, April 11 to May 9.
The fee for Alumni CareerShape is $135 for Penn State Alumni Association members and $170 for non-members. The fee for Alumni JOBSearch is $50 for Alumni Association members and $75 for non-members.
