National media crews seek thoughts from Penn State students, faculty

University Park, Pa. -- In the last week, two different film crews from the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) came to University Park to interview Penn State students and faculty on highly visible topics in the national media spotlight.

Interviews of two mining engineering students and a professor, who were asked questions regarding careers in mining engineering and the demand for graduates with that background, will appear on "Nightly Business Report" in mid- to late October.

Separately, seven students, a recent Penn State graduate, three professors and a staff member were interviewed for an hour-long documentary not yet on the PBS programming schedule.
