University Park, Pa. — The Penn State women's basketball program and head coach Coquese Washington will hold four summer camp sessions in June 2008. There will be an Elite Camp (June 15-17), a Skills Camp (June 22-25), a Team Camp (June 26-28) and a Day Camp (August 11-14).

The Lady Lion Elite Camp is a three-day camp designed for the athlete who is serious about raising her game and playing at the collegiate level. The Lady Lions coaching staff and players will provide individual instruction that will include lectures, demonstrations and intense applications. The campers will also get the opportunity to compete against some of the best high school players in the nation in highly competitive scrimmages. Varsity experience is recommended. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a Lady Lions season highlight DVD.

The Lady Lion Skills Camp is an action-packed overnight camp that focuses on teaching fundamentals and encouraging skill development in all aspects of the game. The campers will thrive in drills, individual instruction and team settings. The Lady Lion coaching staff and players will be on hand everyday to teach and encourage all the campers. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a Lady Lions season highlight DVD.

The Lady Lion Team Camp is designed to provide junior varsity, varsity and/or club teams with the opportunity to train and compete under the guidance of the Lady Lion basketball staff. Each team will participate in five-on-five games, special situation settings and teambuilding exercises. The Lady Lion staff and players will also provide demonstrations and lectures on various topics related to individual fitness and team success. Teams must send a minimum of eight players and a maximum of 12 players. Each camper will receive a camp shirt.

The Lady Lions Day Camp, which is geared for elementary students entering kindergarten through third grade, is structured to give young girls a chance to learn basic basketball skills, techniques and concepts from the Lady Lion coaching staff and players. This camp will be four fun-filled days of individual instruction, games, contests and more. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a Lady Lions season highlight DVD.

Washington's camp staff includes assistant coaches Itoro Coleman, Kia Damon and Maren Walseth. All three assistant coaches have been responsible for developing all-conference caliber players.
