Initial round of CTSI pilot projects awarded

Out of 70 applications received, the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) has selected 13 pilot projects for funding. Pooling of resources from the Penn State College of Medicine, Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Social Science Research Institute and Institute for Computational Science enabled CTSI to support a larger-than-anticipated number of projects, reflecting the University's strong commitment to innovative and collaborative translational research. These 13 projects involve 57 faculty members located at three campuses and eight colleges. Faculty University-wide submitted proposals and 38 faculty members served as peer reviewers.
