Call for proposals from University community for 2009 class gift

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State's senior class gift committee is now accepting proposals for the 2009 class gift. The deadline for submission is Sept. 26.

"The class gift tradition is one of the greatest ways Penn State seniors can give back to their school," said committee chair and senior Elizabeth Kernion. "The power is in the students' hands to decide how you want to change Penn State for the better."

All proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by a volunteer ballot selections committee consisting of students, faculty and staff. This group will then establish a ballot listing three potential gifts for consideration. In November, students with senior standing will be asked to vote for their choice.

Anyone in the University community is eligible to submit a proposal for the senior class gift.  To submit a proposal, visit http://www.SeniorClassGift.psu.edu and follow proposal instructions.

Students of any semester standing who are interested in helping to promote the 2009 class gift can contact Kimmie Aubrey, student relations chair, at kla5019@psu.edu.
