President unveils 2008 State of the University Address

University Park, Pa. — In his 2008 State of the University Address, Penn State President Graham B. Spanier provides an overview of the major themes that have shaped Penn State over the past year.

Throughout the 22-minute video, students, faculty and staff can be seen conducting research, performing in theatre productions, training in state-of-the-art athletic facilities and exploring the many facets of campus life.

In addition, Spanier's address showcases some of the new facilities that are helping to support Penn State’s $700 million research enterprise and that provide world-class opportunities for Penn State’s 90,000 students.

Several of Penn State’s Commonwealth campuses play a prominent role in this video portrait, and there is a strong emphasis on Penn State as one university, geographically dispersed across the Commonwealth.
