WPSU-FM'S fall pledge drive exceeds fundraising goal

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In just six-and-a-half days, WPSU-FM raised more than $92,000 in itsr October pledge drive. The radio fundraiser usually lasts a full seven days, but as the station exceeded its goal of $90,000 ahead of schedule, the drive was stopped early.

“Thanks to every one who made a contribution that enabled us to hit the goal. The generous and gracious gifts are the reason that WPSU-FM continues to grow and find more ways to serve central Pennsylvania,” said Patrick Smith, director of membership.

More than 700 individuals and businesses generously contributed to the fundraising drive. The funds raised will go toward purchasing, producing and broadcasting high-quality programs for WPSU-FM listeners to enjoy all across central Pennsylvania.
