Tailgreat features food, music, contests

The Blue Band Tailgreat Show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, as the Nittany Lions take on Indiana at noon at Beaver Stadium.

As part of the celebration, Penn State girls can practice and perform a pompom routine with the Penn State Dance Team at the Blue Band Tailgreat Show on the BJC floor. Registrations will be accepted only on the day of the Indiana Tailgreat. Go to the Tailgreat Fan Headquarters when doors open to register a youngster, age 4 or older. Practice will take place on the arena floor approximately 45 minutes before the start of the Blue Band Tailgreat Show.

KidsZone will be organized by student volunteers from the Thon committee this week. Games, crafts, prizes and more for kids of all ages will be available.

In addition, a free football card will be awarded to the first 1,000 kids age 14 and under who come to the Tailgreat Fan Headquarters on the concourse of BJC. This week’s card is Jordan Norwood.

The event will include performances by the Lionnettes, cheerleaders, Nittany Lion and Blue Band as well as contests and prizes for fans of all ages.
