Students celebrate 100 days until THON

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon welcomed the public to celebrate 100 Days 'til THON on Wednesday (Nov. 12) in the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus.

THON is the world's largest student-run philanthropy and proceeds from the annual dance marathon and related events benefit the Four Diamonds Fund, which supports pediatric cancer research and families of children with pediatric cancer. Last year THON raised more than $6.6 million to help battle childhood cancer. Since its inception, THON has raised more than $46 million.

With the dance marathon 100 days away students enjoyed entertainment and snacks and took part in the popular card-writing table to offer words of encouragement to the dancers who will be on their feet from the evening of Friday, Feb. 20 until the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Bryce Jordan Center. Participants ended the celebration by spelling out THON on Old Main Lawn.
