Scenes from the Rose Bowl: tailgating, pregame, on the field

Los Angeles — Granddaddy Day had finally arrived, and Penn Staters converging in Pasadena were fired up and ready to go.

Following the early morning Rose Parade, fans proceeded to a tailgate on a golf course, then entered their tickets' designated Rose Bowl tunnel to watch warm-ups and pregame show. When the Nittany Lions roared onto the field, the warm sun, the boisterous cheers from Penn Staters and the sights around the stadium almost made it feel like a September home game in Beaver Stadium.
