Topic of talk is blogging and the arts

The first Arts in Public Life event of the Spring semester, "Blogging and the Arts: A Discussion with Michael Berube and Maud Newton," takes place at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, in 102 Kern Building on the University Park campus as part of the Comparative Literature Luncheon Series.

Join a discussion with two nationally-known writers and bloggers on the arts: Michael Berube, Paterno Family Professor in Literature in the Department of English, and author of six books and more than 150 articles in forums such as Social Text, Modern Fiction Studies, Harper's, the New Yorker, the Nation and the Boston Globe as well as a widely cited blog; and Maud Newton, award-winning writer and blogger whose book reviews have appeared in the New York Times Book Review, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times Book Review, the Washington Post Book World, and Newsday.
