Chocolatetown Challenge is back

The Chocolatetown Challenge is a fitness and wellness challenge designed to promote health, camaraderie and friendly competition among the employees at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and four other organizations in Hershey.

All Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine employees and their family members are encouraged to participate. The Chocolatetown Challenge includes healthy eating activities, as well as competitive and non-competitive fitness events. Prizes will be awarded randomly to participants. More points means a better chance to win some great prizes.

The competition officially starts on March 1, with the kick-off event called "Come Out and Play" at the Milton Hershey School Spartan Center.

Registration for this year's Chocolatetown Challenge is open after Feb. 16 online at www.chocolatetownchallenge.com. This site serves as "information central," where updates on all activities will be posted and points can be logged.

The Chocolatetown Challenge needs volunteers for a variety of events and activities. The only prerequisite is a desire to contribute to a health-oriented, fun project. For more information on volunteer opportunities e-mail Sue Espenshade at sespenshade@hmc.psu.edu.
