Teaching with simulation: An instructor course

The Penn State Hershey Simulation Center will be holding their next training session May 19-22. This instructor course is designed to develop professional staff to teach effectively using simulation and is designed to promote effective simulation education.

Simulation is increasingly being integrated into most curricula at Penn State Hershey and at institutions worldwide. Since most instructors who use traditional teaching methods need specific instruction in using simulation effectively, this course facilitates such training that has been, until now, costly, distant, and time consuming.

This course will take place on four adjacent days. Included will be didactic and experiential learning, hands-on practice, and reflective feedback. Each participant will have the opportunity to assume the various roles in simulation processes.

In order to provide the most effective education, a multi-disciplinary mix of participants is preferred. The course is limited to 16 participants. Applications are accepted at www.hmc.psu.edu/ce/simulation/application/htm no later than April 1. Participants will be notified if accepted by April 10.
