CLGBTE opens nominations for two awards

Penn State's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equity is now accepting nominations for two awards: the Outstanding Service Award and the Ally Recognition Award.

These awards recognize an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the Penn State LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) community.  The awards will be presented at the Penn State Rainbow Awards reception at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1 in the Auditorium of the HUB-Robeson Center. A community dinner and Lavender Graduation will occur later in the evening. Nominations for these awards are due Friday, March 20.

Each year the commission recognizes the contributions of an individual within the University community who has shown outstanding service regarding LGBTQ concerns. Members of the University community should consider nominating someone who is an active participant in improving the climate at Penn State for the Outstanding Service Award.
