EE paper wins award at conference

A paper by Mohsen Kavehrad, the W.L. Weiss Endowed Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering, and doctoral candidate Ali Enteshari, has won a DesignCon 2009 best paper award.

The paper, "40/100 Gbps Transmission over Copper," was chosen best paper in the high-speed and RF design category.

Presented by the International Engineering Consortium, DesignCon 2009 was held Feb. 2-4 in Santa Clara, Calif. Of the 32 finalists in the DesignCon 2009 technical program, the Kavehrad-Enteshari paper was one of 10 papers chosen for awards. Research papers were judged on quality, relevance, impact, originality and commercial content.
