Comparative Literature Luncheon hosts two upcoming speakers

University Park, Pa. -- The Comparative Literature Luncheon, a weekly informal lunchtime gathering of students, faculty, and other members of the University community, will have two upcoming speakers through the remainder of the month. Each week a short presentation by a visitor or a local speaker is presented on a topic related to various humanities discipline.

Wilfried Raussert, professor of North American literature and cultures at Universitat Bielefeld in Germany will present "Space and Masculinity in 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,'" at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, March 23 in 102 Kern Building, University Park.

Gabriel Weisz, professor of comparative literature at Universidad Autonomia de Mexico will present "The 'Other' Face of Reason," at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, March 30 in 102 Kern Building, University Park.

Jonathan Eburne is the coordinator for the series this semester. Attendees can bring lunch or buy a lunch tray in Kern Cafeteria and bring it into 102 Kern. Coffee and tea are provided in 102 Kern at no charge.  The speaker will begin at about 12:30 p.m. Allowing a few minutes for discussion, luncheons conclude in time for classes that meet at 1:25 p.m.  The series is free and open to the public.
