'Worlds Closer' concert to take place April 24

University Park, Pa. -- The "Worlds Closer" concert, featuring harmonica player Gregoire Maret, keyboardist Delmar Brown, guitarist Erik Sayles, percussionist Ronnie Burrage and guitarist Michael Dougherty, will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24, in Esber Recital Hall, Music Building I, on the Penn State University Park campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

Burrage teaches an integrative arts course (Integrative Arts 297e) on world art forms and organized the concert as the culmination of the course. Burrage performs frequently with the other musicians in the "Worlds Closer" concert across Pennsylvania and in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore region. He has performed nationally and internationally for nearly 20 years as leader of his own band and with other ensembles. The other musicians in the concert have performed with the likes of Pat Metheny, Cassandra Wilson, Bruce Springsteen, Jaco Pastorius and others.
