Schedule of Courses: Find Web courses with 'advanced search' feature

University Park, Pa. -- Tip No. 7. Wouldn't it be nice to not have to go out in the cold, rain or early morning and make your way across campus to a designated classroom? This can be a reality as, with increasing frequency, Penn State resident instruction classroom-based courses are migrating to the Internet as Web courses. Web courses are convenient because they are time and place free but they do require a special set of self-paced learning skills and habits that are different than the traditional classroom learning environment. If you can handle an online course then topping off your semester schedule with a one credit or three credit Web course just might complete that perfect schedule.

Web courses, taught completely online, can be found using the “Advanced search” feature at schedule.psu.edu. Go to the "Advanced search" page and select "Web Courses" along with any of the other variables such as semester, campus location, open sections only, general education designations, U.S. Cultures etc. to find courses that have a "Web" designation in the "Meeting Days/Times" field.

Try the "Advanced search" feature now and see what Web courses you can find.
