Society of Uroradiology gives Lifetime Achievement Award

David S. Hartman, professor of radiology, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Uroradiology. The Society of Uroradiology is dedicated to the advancement of radiology of the genitourinary systems.

The award was bestowed in recognition of Hartman’s excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice which emphases radiology of the genitourinary systems. Hartman is extremely active in medical student, resident and post graduate education. He has been invited to participate in more than 300 invited lectureships throughout the world. He is the author of five books and more than 100 scientific publications.

Hartman earned his medical degree from UCLA and completed a 20-year career in the U.S. Navy in 1991. While in the Navy, he served as a radiological consultant for the President of the United States and the Surgeon General of the U.S. Navy. He has been at the Medical Center since 1991. He and his wife, Anne Marie, reside in Hummelstown.
