Participants needed for fitness study at Noll Laboratory

Healthy women who are 21-30 years old are needed to participate in a study that is examining the role of fitness level on the blood flow response to leg exercise. Participants must be non-smokers who are not currently taking blood pressure, cholesterol or birth control medications. The study involves screening blood-work (cholesterol levels), treadmill exercise, body composition assessment, vascular health measurements and assessment of leg blood flow during kicking exercise (noninvasive). Additional procedures involve strength testing and exercise tests to measure muscle fatigue. Participants will be paid a total of $80 for their participation in the entire study (four visits) and will also receive the results from all tests. Interested women should contact Martha Kalasky at mjk5013@psu.edu or (814) 863-3183.
