New Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute toured by employees, public

Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute unveiled its new home to employees and the public at the end of June.

The new facility, which is the region's only comprehensive cancer center, is located on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus. The 178,000-square-foot building is designed to foster collaboration between physicians and scientists devoted to providing comprehensive cancer care and discovering new treatments and cures.

On Friday, June 26, employees had the chance to tour the new facility. The next day, Saturday, June 27, the building was opened to the public during the community open house. Dr. Harold L. Paz, chief executive officer of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, senior vice president for health affairs at the Pennsylvania State University and dean of the Penn State College of Medicine, welcomed the community to the open house.
