College of IST welcomes new faculty members

The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) has two new additions to its faculty for the 2009-20 school year: John Hill and Ed Glantz.

John Hill, located in 316B IST building, is returning to teaching after more than 30 years in the information technology industry. He was previously with Sun Microsystems, serving as chief standardization strategy officer for 10 years and has worked for AMP (Tyco Electronics), Compaq, Unisys and Burroughs.
Hill holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Millersville University and a master's degree in business administration from Drexel University. He has also served as adjunct faculty for both Immaculata and Ursinus colleges for 10 years. Hill will be teaching systems and enterprise integration courses in the College of IST this year.

Ed Glantz, located in 316 IST building, joins the College of IST as a professor of practice after completing his doctorate with the college’s first group of graduate students. He has been with the Smeal College of Business, serving as a supply chain and information systems faculty member for the past 10 years. Glantz also has worked in industry for 20 years, during which time he worked on projects that included a two year stint in Germany and a high bandwidth entrepreneurial project in New Jersey. Glantz holds bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and general arts and science from Penn State and a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
