Office Olympians raise more than $3,200 for United Way

The College of the Liberal Arts sponsored its second annual Office Olympics on Aug. 6, on the Pattee Mall at Penn State's University Park campus. This fundraiser for United Way was comprised of 16 teams representing various departments. The events included competitions such as the trash can toss, rubber band archery, a water relay, and an obstacle course. Denise Solomon, associate dean for graduate studies, once again served as grand marshal for the opening ceremony processional. This year the event raised more than $3,200 for the Centre County United Way, surpassing last year's total of $2,400. The "Psych-Clones," one of two teams from the Department of Psychology, were the winning team, raising more than $1,000.
